Fidelity & Vanguard - Week 34: Recent Buys (FUSEX, VYM)

August 22 - August 28

My investments for week 34 included just VYM and FUSEX.  The yield this week was 2.74% compared to 4.18% the week prior.  The yield is lower this week as I made large investments in TGT, SDIV, and FLO last week each of which pay a decent dividend.  The amount of yearly dividends added ($4.12) was lower than last week ($103.93) as the yield was almost 2% lower and my investment this week was only $150 or about $2,300 less than last week.  This marks 34 consecutive weeks without paying commissions! A week of just a mutual fund and a dividend ETF. HOW BORING! Slow and Steady.

Total Invested - $150.17
Commissions Paid - $0.00
Current Streak - 34 weeks
Yearly Dividends Added - $4.12
Yield- 2.74%

Full Disclosure: Long VYM, FUSEX, ALL HOLDINGS IN MY PORTFOLIO

Do you own dividend ETFs?  Why or why not?

    1. No commissions is a wonderful thing! Of course its not for everyone like more advanced investors who are now using options to make extra income. I may one day have to sell and re-buy in another account which allows options trading.
