Loyal 3 & Vanguard - Week 17: Recent Buy

April 25 - May 1

My auto investments for week 17 are listed below and include VYM, FUSEX, MCD, PEP, UL, YUM.  I also initiated positions in AMGN, STAG, and WFC which I hope to grow in the future.  The yield this week was 2.73% compared to 0.44% the week prior.  Low yield last week was due to the large TWTR purchase and without it the yield would have been 1.07%.  The amount of yearly dividends added ($36.65) was higher than last week ($3.74).  Significantly higher due to my additions of WFC, AMGN, and STAG.  This was a great week for me as I was really able to put a lot of hard earned money to work.  And this money invested will make me MORE MONEY for doing absolutely nothing.  This week was also great in that all of my purchases went into dividend paying companies.  This also marks 17 consecutive weeks without paying commissions!  I look forward to the new month and hope to put my proceeds from my Baidu Sale to work.

Total Invested - $1,340.92
Commissions Paid - $0.00
Current Streak - 17 weeks
Yearly Dividends Added - $36.65
Yield- 2.73%

Full Disclosure: Long VYM, AMGN, BIDU, FUSEX, MCD, PEP, STAG, UL, TWTR, YUM, WFC, ALL HOLDINGS IN MY PORTFOLIO

  1. Twitter is an interesting buy. I've stayed away because the company can't seem to figure out monetization. Having said that, the stock price has fallen so low that it is an interesting buy opportunity. Twitter just completed a deal with the NFL to stream Thursday Night Football. This could get interesting.

    1. I would have loved to get in at this price... got in a little early =/. With that NFL stream, olympics this summer, and being an election year, I really hope they can turn it around. Many opportunities, but Facebook seems to be taking all of the ad revenues.

      Thanks for stopping by!
